Carcassonne

Rennes Le Chateau

Axat
Pretty town on the river Aude, ideal water sports or Winter Ski Holiday location. Dramatic

Rennes les Bains

Esperaza
Esperaza Museum Hat, Honey and Dinosaur (Eva the Dinosaur exhibited from

Limoux

Campagne Sur Aude
Walk where dinosaurs walked. Visit the excavation site, in 1982
two teachers discovered bones which are 72 million years old. Now on display at Esperaza Museum.

Nearest Languedoc Roussillon town to our Villa and Apartment. Boulangerie,
cafés, restaurants, swimming, rafting and canoe on the river Aude. Chocolate factory for
delicious truffles, nougat and pralines.
Arques
Cathare castle. Large lake stunning surroundings perfect for
nature, walking, cycling, swimming and fishing. Arboretum.

Thermal Spa Town. Nostradamus lived near the ruined abbey. Local water

Mirepoix
11th Century Medieval South France town. Built on the right bank of the
river Hers. Flooded in 1289, rebuilt on the left bank on stilts. Besieged in 1209 by Simon de
Montfort after Cathars met in 1206.
